Led by Clinic Director and Head Sports Therapist Lee Wilkinson, alongside a team of experienced therapists across Crewe, Sandbach and Northwich.
As a keen runner for over 10 years I have completed many road races and marathons. Fell and trail running and ultramarathons became my passion, and I completed my first 100-mile ultra back in 2016. In October 2020 and again in May 2023 I completed the Brathay 10in10, ten marathons in ten days around Lake Windermere, an incredible experience I will never forget.
I am also the owner of LW Run Coach, where I coach runners from all backgrounds and create tailored individual training plans. Take a look at www.lwruncoach.co.uk.
I first qualified as a sports massage therapist at South Cheshire College in 2013. I have since graduated from the Active Health Group Academy in Manchester and am a fully qualified sports therapist with an Advanced Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy and Remedial Therapy, plus my Level 1 in Dry Needling and Acupuncture and training in Dry Cupping Massage. I am currently building my knowledge further on the Pro Sport Mentorship programme run by David O'Sullivan at the Go To Physio school.
I am a member of the Sports Therapy Organisation and the Sports Massage Association, and I am registered with the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council).
Having treated many people, runners and athletes of all backgrounds and abilities, I have the knowledge and experience to treat the injuries and aches everyday people and athletes deal with, and to give the corrective treatment and exercises that work in real life.
I have a passion for what I do and love that I can help people reach their goals and get back to what they love, pain free and moving well.
Laura graduated as a Sports Therapist BSc (Hons) in 2016 from Leeds Beckett University. Years of racing at a high level sparked a keen interest in the treatment, management and prevention of injuries.
She spent five years with the NHS in a rehabilitation team as a physio assistant practitioner, gaining a wealth of skills across post-operative hip and knee surgery, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Wanting to focus primarily on musculoskeletal work, she left the NHS in 2021 to join LW Sports Therapy full time.
Laura has thoroughly enjoyed working with clients over the years, seeing them progress and restoring functional movement for sport and everyday life alike.
Away from clinic Laura is usually swimming, cycling or running. The last few years have focused on the half ironman distance with eyes on going professional. 2022 saw her first 70.3 World Champs start line in America, finishing 9th overall, 4th in age group and 1st British woman home. In April 2023 she took on her Ironman debut in Texas, finishing 2nd overall lady and winning her age group by an hour in a time of 9:33.
Whether it is pain management or an athletic or personal goal, Laura has a huge passion for helping you get there, tailoring treatment to your needs. Laura works from both the Crewe and Sandbach clinics.

I would recommend Lee. Not only one of the nicest guys I know, he really knows his stuff. I have walked and hobbled into Lee's office and come out skipping every time. Today I had a dreadful night's sleep as my back had gone tight, and within five minutes he had found the spot causing the pain. He goes the extra mile to help. Thank you Lee.
I had been having problems with my hip for a couple of weeks training for a marathon. I was struggling to walk before I turned to Lee, and I am kicking myself for not going sooner. Within a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem and started correcting the muscle causing the pain. Two days later I am running pain free. Professional and a brilliant bloke too.
Absolute miracle worker. Kept me going when I ran 5 marathons in a month and continues to keep me from breaking now.
I have been coming to Lee for regular massages for a couple of years, running 35 to 60 miles a week. Lee is always thorough and meticulous. I recommended him to my mum, who had suffered foot pain for years and been seeing a hospital physio with no improvement. She visited Lee once about 18 months ago and has had no pain since. I could not recommend him highly enough.
Lee is absolutely fantastic. I have been injured and Lee has helped me recover and kept me moving. I have rung him at short notice and he always does his utmost to fit me in. I would not go anywhere else for my treatment.
Great service, very passionate and knowledgeable about sports injuries and treatments. Very professional and flexible to schedule treatments. Quite literally keeps my ageing body moving, thanks Lee.
Lee's support means I can train harder, and that is reflected in my results over the last couple of years. I have got personal bests in everything from 5k to marathon, won the mixed pairs in an off-road ultra and represented Cheshire in the British Fell Championship.
Well, what can I say. This guy keeps me doing the things I love to do.
Over the last 5 years I have put my body through a variety of training, from high-altitude trekking to road, trail and weight training. Lee has been and will continue to be my sports therapist. I find him very approachable for advice when training for big events, and if I do pick up a strain he helps me recover as quickly as possible. I would recommend Lee to anyone.
The runners and athletes we are proud to support.
Pat has competed in triathlons and road races for many years across all distances, and completed Ironman Kona in Hawaii in 2024. 2025 is another busy year with the World mid-distance Duathlon Championships for the GB team, plus half marathons and half Ironman races. We are looking forward to supporting Pat again.
Sean has made incredible improvements to his running, especially his marathon times. Coached by John Danahay at High Performance Runner, he has completed all seven Major Marathons with a best of 2:36:52 at London in 2023. 2025 sees a return to London to push his PB further.
Rachel is our newest recruit and brings a wealth of experience from trail, fell and orienteering races. 2025 is packed as she prepares for her first Lakeland 100 in July, building through the Lakeland 5 Passes and a host of off-road events. We are delighted to support her.
Robin had a brilliant 2024, finally claiming his sub-3-hour marathon at Manchester through hard work and pure resilience. 2025 is another busy year as he takes on London Marathon in April plus plenty of warm-up races. We are sure it will be another great year.
Amy runs for South Cheshire Harriers and is Head Coach there too, with experience across road, trail and fell from 5k to ultra. She won the mixed pairs at the Lakeland 50 and again at the Montane Lakeland 100 in 34hrs 56mins. Her sights are set on another strong Lakeland 100 in July.
Claire started running to regain fitness after having her daughter Eva, and now races as much as she runs socially. Five years in, four with South Cheshire Harriers, 2025 is a busy year from Boston Marathon to her first 100km ultra, plus NSRRA road races.
Libby brings a very different skill set to the team. She trains at TRAIN Fitness Studio in Sandbach and has been doing CrossFit and now Hyrox for a good few years. 2025 has lots of events in pairs and pro solo, and we look forward to seeing her smash her PBs. Welcome to the team.
Alexandra is continuing her running journey while preparing for motherhood. We are excited to support her through this new chapter and help her maintain her fitness and wellbeing during this special time.
